True West Productions is a non-profit corporation, chartered with the State of Colorado. Donations from area sponsors play a huge role in making our events possible. Without sponsors, True West Productions would not have attained the level of success that it did in 2008. Being new producers, our sponsors were an essential part of our mission. They helped us provide a venue for our events along with gifts and prizes to award our wonderful contestants.
True West Productions takes great pride in the satisfaction of our participants. We work hard to provide a family atmosphere through horses and the exhilarating sport of barrel racing and gymkhana. We have the privilege of creating family fun for all ages. At the end of the day we are proud to have provided a wonderful healthy family oriented activity.
Since we began our Buckle Series in September, True West Productions was ecstatic to form a wonderful Pee Wee program. For an entry fee of $1 Pee Wees received a barrel run, candy bar and a chance to be entered in the daily prize giveaways. Thanks to one of our sponsors we were able to award trophies and ribbon to every Pee Wee contestant at each of our events. By our last Buckle Series event we were proud to have a class of 12 talented Pee Wee riders and an increase in our youth participation. We consider this one of the greatest accomplishments of our series.
We also had the privilege of making the acquaintance of many wonderful families. We are pleased that many of these families still continue to support our events.
To finish out our 2008 season, we had our 1st Annual Icicle Classic held at Jefferson County Event Center in Golden, Colorado. Champion Buckles were awarded to all 1st place winners in each division. It was an all day event with great participation considering the zero degree weather. It was a true December Icicle Classic!
We are currently working on BBR and WPRA sanctioned approvals at the request of our contestants. Thanks to our sponsors' support, True West Productions considers our very first season to be a great success. We stayed true to our original goals and idea of family fun and unity.
With new events scheduled and well under way, we are looking forward to our 2009 season.
